Salt & Light Global is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and equip Christians to engage the cultural worldview of the day via citizen statesmanship and selfless service.

   2.  What does Salt & Light Global do to fulfill its mission?

Salt & Light Global implements its mission through educational programs offered by the Wilberforce Academy and through engagement opportunities sponsored by the Institute for Citizen Statesmanship. By combining education and engagement, Salt & Light Global hopes to see First Principles practically applied in communities around the world.

   3.  Where is Salt & Light Global located? Can I visit?

Salt & Light Global is located in Lansing, Michigan. If you would like to visit with our staff, please contact us to schedule a meeting.

  4.  When and where will Salt & Light Global be presenting in the near future?

All future presentations are included in the Salt & Light Global Events Calendar. If you would like to schedule a presentation for your own group, please contact us.

   5.  How can I get involved in the work of Salt & Light Global?

Salt & Light Global offers a number of ways for you to participate in its mission. If you would like to work directly with our team, please review our current volunteer and employment options. If you would like to implement First Principles into your community, consider the opportunities we offer through the Institute for Citizen Statesmanship.

  6.  Is Salt & Light Global hiring?

Salt & Light Global is not currently hiring; however, you are welcome to submit a cover letter and resume that will be kept on file for future consideration. Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.

   7.  Does Salt & Light Global accept materials for publication on its website or in its print materials?

Salt & Light Global accepts materials for publication from its audience. The materials must satisfy particular requirements in order to be published. Contact us for more information.

Salt & Light Global produces a variety of online and print publications. You may not reproduce print publications without requesting permission from us. However, you may reproduce online publications, subject to the following terms and conditions.

The John 17 Project is an initiative designed to connect individuals, ministries, and organizations that are committed to furthering First Principles in their communities. Salt & Light Global has created the John 17 Project database as a way to facilitate its audience’s ability to volunteer, fund, and cooperate with groups in their area.

11.   What relationship does Salt & Light Global have with the groups listed in the John 17 Project database?

Salt & Light Global does not necessarily have a relationship with the groups listed in the John 17 Project database. The groups are provided purely for informational purposes and do not necessarily endorse or subscribe to Salt & Light Global’s beliefs or mission. Salt & Light Global does not necessarily endorse or subscribe to the various organizations beliefs or missions either.

If you would like to add your group to the John 17 Project database, please contact us. If you would like to participate in the John 17 Project as an individual, you can review the database, attend a presentation, or contact us for more information.

13.  What is the Salt & Light Global e-newsletter? How do I subscribe or unsubscribe?

The Salt & Light Global e-newsletter, Resplendent, interprets current events in light of God’s Word. Its purpose is to provide a hopeful and Christ-centered context for understanding the issues facing our communities. It also provides information about the ministry and work of Salt & Light Global.

 14.  Do you share my name or contact information with third parties?

Salt & Light Global does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our ministry, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. For instance, we may use an outside shipping company to ship orders or a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others rights, property, or safety. In the event that Salt & Light Global is merged or acquired with another ministry, users’ personal information will likely be part of the assets transferred.

16.  Why did I not receive a response to the message I sent?

Salt & Light Global attempts to answer every email it receives within five business days. If you have not received a response after five business days, please resend your message or call us.

17.  Where does Salt & Light Global get its funding?

Salt & Light Global receives the majority of its funds from individuals who are committed to its mission. Where possible, Salt & Light Global also seeks funding from various foundations and businesses.

18.  Who makes the major financial decisions? What mechanisms are in place to ensure financial accountability?

Salt & Light Global subscribes to responsible financial management techniques and seeks to employ the highest level of financial accountability.  19.  How do I give to Salt & Light Global? Can I give gifts-in-kind?

Salt & Light Global appreciates every gift it receives. Thank you! If you would like to make a donation, you may do so via cash, check, credit card, or stock option. While we do accept gifts-in-kind in most instances, we would ask that you contact us before sending in your donation.

 20.  Is my donation tax deductible?

Salt & Light Global is a 501(c)(3) organization. Therefore, all donations are tax deductible in the United States.

 21.  Can I make an online donation?

 22.  Is the Salt & Light Global website secure?

Salt & Light Global works to protect the security of your financial information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”), which encrypts the information you input on the website. Please note that though SSL is the best encryption software we know about, there is no method of electronic transmission or storage that is 100% secure. Therefore, while we take great effort to ensure that your information is protected both online and offline, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We encourage you to further ensure your security by taking your own precautions, such as signing-off when you are finished using a shared computer.
